My Whanau/ Family

This is a short text based on Whanau and family

extended abstract.png
Our school whanau is sometimes called ‘The Tamaki Whanau/Family’.  What do you think this means and why is our students and staff at our school described as a family?  Use some of the important words above to help with your answer.
What I think this means is that everyone looks after one another, everyone respects each other, it;s like being one no matter what race they are. That you don’t feel left out They will help you. That no one is left behind.
Everyone communicates with each other and Tamaki is described as a family because they respect and care for each other. There will be some times when the community fights but there will always be someone to stop the fight even when you’re in trouble.

  1. Well done on a well-written summary! I like the way you used the question and reworded it as the start of your introduction which helps to relate your answer back to the question. It is lovely to hear your thoughts on our Tamaki family! Keep up the great work!
